Who operates OurVeliora

OurVeliora is operated by ORIZON SYSTEMS LLC. This policy covers the OurVeliora website, installed web app, and native mobile applications.

Information you provide

Account details; parent, child, family, and caregiver profiles; routines, milestones, notes, goals, health and sleep logs; photos, files, memories, messages, feedback, and settings you choose to add. Child profiles are private and are not publicly discoverable.

Information created during use

We process sign-in and session identifiers, feature activity, device and browser details, crash and security diagnostics, notification preferences, and approximate technical location such as IP-derived region. We do not sell family data or use it for third-party behavioral advertising.

How information is used

We use information to authenticate accounts, keep family spaces separate, provide requested features, personalize Babi, generate summaries and keepsakes, send requested notifications, support users, prevent abuse, debug failures, and comply with law.

Babi and AI processing

When you use an AI feature, your request and relevant family context may be sent to configured AI providers under service agreements. Parenting chat can include child and parent names, recent memories, learning, sleep, health and speech notes, document titles, concerns, and earlier family chat notes. Visual AI sends the image you choose for analysis. Child voice sends the recording you request for one-time transcription. Babi can be wrong and does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace a pediatrician, therapist, teacher, emergency service, or your judgment.

Babi safety and crisis responses

Babi uses automated checks for common self-harm, suicide, abuse, and immediate-danger language. A detected parent crisis receives a fixed response directing the person to human help instead of routine coaching. Babi Play pauses detected danger, ends that play session, asks the child to reach a safe grown-up, and excludes that response from learning observations. Generated play speech and buttons are also checked for unsafe directions, secrecy, emotional dependency, and requests for private contact details. These checks can miss situations and are not clinical assessments. We do not monitor conversations as an emergency service, and Babi cannot contact help. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. In the United States or Canada, call or text 988 for crisis support.

Service providers and sharing

Our current service providers include Vercel for app hosting and delivery; Supabase for authentication, database, and private file storage; OpenAI for requested AI and one-time speech transcription; Anthropic, OpenRouter, or a self-hosted Ollama model only when that provider is configured for a request; Zoho ZeptoMail for authentication and service email delivery, receiving recipient email addresses and message contents such as account confirmation and password-reset messages, with email open and click tracking disabled; Resend for caregiver invitation email when configured; Sentry for error monitoring; and PostHog or configured Umami analytics for limited product events when enabled. Analytics use known feature names instead of record URLs, query text, or fragments; automatic session replay, heatmaps, and click capture are disabled. A payment provider will be identified here before paid features launch. In the iOS app, OurVeliora Plus subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store's in-app purchase system (via RevenueCat as the purchase-management provider); payment details are handled by Apple and are not shared with OurVeliora. These providers process information only for the service purpose involved. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect safety or the service, or as part of a business transaction with appropriate safeguards.

Caregivers and family sharing

The family owner controls invitations and roles. Invited caregivers can see only the information allowed by their role and the family features used. Review access regularly and remove people who no longer need it.

Security and retention

We use encrypted network connections, account-scoped access checks, private storage, short-lived file links, and operational safeguards. No system can promise absolute security. Active account content remains while the service is used. Account deletion removes family records controlled only by that account and attempts removal of their known private files. If sign-in cleanup or file verification needs follow-up, we show that status and retain limited account identifiers or cleanup records for verified resolution. File-cleanup records contain affected family identifiers and reference counts, without copying file contents or unverified file paths. Provider backups, security, transaction, dispute, or legally required records may have different retention periods. Contact support for the status of remaining cleanup.

Your choices and rights

You can review and correct information in the app, manage caregivers and notifications, request an export, or permanently delete your account in Settings or at our public Delete Account page. Delete a photo from its memory to remove the memory, attached file, and linked timeline entries. Documents have separate Archive and Delete permanently controls: archive retains the file, while delete removes the uploaded file and its linked scan. Separately saved notes, older unlinked timeline copies, downloaded copies, and previous conversations are not automatically erased by deleting one item. Review those separately or request help. If another owner remains, their shared family space stays with them; a family controlled only by the deleted account is removed. Depending on where you live, you may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an explanation of processing. We verify account ownership before acting on sensitive requests.

Children

OurVeliora is a parent- and guardian-directed family service, not an independent social account for children. Children do not create accounts. A responsible adult must create and manage the family account, attest that they have authority to provide a child's information, and supervise Child Mode. Before each Child Mode session, an adult gate explains that activity progress and rewards are saved privately to the family space. Child Mode has no public profiles, behavioral advertising, or unrestricted external links. Babi Play is guided rather than open chat: a parent separately enables push-to-talk voice for each child, the requested audio is sent to the configured speech provider for one-time transcription, and OurVeliora does not retain the raw recording. Babi may save small child-specific learning observations—such as an explicitly stated interest or completed activity—only when learning is enabled. Parents can review, confirm, forget, reset, or pause that learning. Siblings' play profiles remain separate. If we learn that child information was provided without appropriate adult authority, we will remove it.

International use and changes

Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate. We will update this policy when practices change and give appropriate notice for material changes. Continued use after an effective update means the revised policy applies.
